Originally a hunting lodge for the Italian royal family and a place of rest for the famous Napoleon. This building has now been transformed into a museum which is dedicated to the "baroque" form of architecture. An outside view : Note the scary looking guy, we are not sure who he is but he kept on following us around Turin. If you have any information as to who he is please contact us.
Cunning Under-Cover Picture Of The Inside: note: Due to the rule against cameras in the museum some one whom we don't know or have any connections to, took these pictures at great personal risk.
This picture is a good example of the baroque architecture, the way that the consists of straight lines interlaced with curves is very baroque.
This is a good example of the baroque technique on nicking other peoples ideas and adding to them. In my opinion, a very smart idea.
Had this been in focus it would have been a picture of a incredible chandelier in the main room. This room was often used as a ball room and I can see why: this is possibly one of the most impressive rooms I've seen.
Some of the more later baroque work, the later work tended to have allot more detail and to be crowded by "quaint" little bits stuck on to look attractive.
